Waterbury Plating Company was organized by Charles Nardozzi in 1943. The company is a high quality metal finisher of ferrous and nonferrous substrates applying a variety of protective and decorative coatings. The corporate tradition and substantial market recognition are based on supplying a high quality product, delivered on time, with efficient prompt service, at a competitive price and providing a reliable function. The company has kept business activities in harmony with maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment. Extremely diversified customers and markets include clothing, automotive, electronic, defense, aircraft, hardware, household goods, writing instruments, springs and instrumentation.
Robert Nardozzi took over as President from his father in 1967 and
increased the business substantially over the last 25 years.
Four additions have been added to the building, which now totals 60,000
square feet of which 20% is devoted to environmental controls and laboratories.
Bob Lanz and Glen Harper purchased the business in 1991 and expanded the
business into new finishes and implemented an extensive quality program.
The business has grown from a one-shift operation to a customer-oriented
company employing three shifts.
